I had such a great time on with CBS 2’s Marissa Bailey talking about getting kids interested in healthy lunches.
We went through three examples of lunches that might motivate children based on their specific personalities.
The advice was based on my recent book (illustrated by my then 12-year old son, Alexander): Give It a Go, Eat a Rainbow.
See below for the lunch pictures and ideas of how to motivate your own kids, and watch the several minute interview.
Lunch for a kid that wants to do well in school (the color RED is great for your heart and mind):
Lunch for a kid that wants to do well in sports (BLUE/PURPLE is great for energy!)
Lunch for a kid that wants to have a healthy smile (GREEN is great for teeth and bones).
A HUGE thank you to my mom Marilyn who helped me to shop, arrange, and photograph these lunches. We had such a blast together! 🙂
Enjoy a healthy back to school!
