Over the course of the several months since the publication of Mountain Mantras: Wellness and Life Lessons from the Slopes, I am proud to say that I have been able to raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes including Fast and Female, the Community School’s financial aid program, Wild Gift, and VAMPS scholarships. Woo hoo!
For the month of February– It’s time to SUPPORT DIVAS! Here are some ways YOU can participate in supporting your favorite coaches in this amazing program:
*Come to the DIVAS party on Thursday evening (Feb 4th). If you buy a book on that evening, 100% of the money collected will go directly to DIVAS. I’ll be donating the books for the evening. 🙂
*Come out and have some wine and snacks in Sun Valley Village and come by the President’s Day book signing from 4-6pm at the Signature’s Store (right next to the post office). 10% of sales will be given to DIVAS.
*Tell your friends about the book, which is available on Amazon, Barnesandnoble.com, apple, and many bookstores across the country. Locally, the book is at both Iconoclast and Chapter One. Many of the sports and non-book stores carry the book, including Sturtevants, PK’s, Formula Sports, Sun Summit, Bald Mountain Sports (Hailey), Chateau Drug and Atkinsons (Ketchum, Hailey and Bellevue). 10% of sales on a national basis will be given to DIVAS for the entire month of February!
A few comments about the book to get you excited:
“Kathryn has been a steadfast and enthusiastic DIVAS participant. We rant and rave about her attitude and efforts and the progress that she’s made. We are stoked by the impact the DIVAS Program has had and are full of admiration for all Kathryn does for the com- munity. We all seem to inspire each other. Read this helpful and insightful book!”—Danielle Carruth & Nicky Elsbree, co-founders of DIVAS (Die Incredible Vimin Alpine Shredders)
“In a world full of complicated advice on nutrition and wellness, Mountain Mantras provides a fresh perspective that helps you cut through the clutter and develop a simple and manageable approach to wellness and nutrition. Whether you are an elite athlete or simply trying to get the most out of everyday life (or both), the advice in this book offers great value to any reader.”—Betsy Youngman, two-time Olympian, 1988 and 1992
“Mountain Mantras portrays nutrition and wellness in a laugh-out- loud, funny way. Important and fun! Don’t miss this book.” —Tiger Shaw, president and CEO, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association
