How did it get to be time for back to school already?
And yes, that means getting ready for healthy school lunches.
In this interview I did on CBS Chicago with Melissa Bailey, I talk about the importance of having a FUN healthy school lunch.
We also go through visuals about how you can make lunches for your kiddos that are visually appealing, healthy, and have an extremely high likelihood of being eaten! 🙂
Note that I do offer a small “sweet treat” in each lunch to increase the popularity of the lunch and to make sure that your kids don’t end up mooching processed desserts from their friends. If your lunch room doesn’t typically serve/allow sweet treats, then you can ignore the suggestion.
If the video isn’t playing for you on the CBS site, I’ve embedded it for you here:
Check it out, and then maybe you’ll be inspired to download the awesome LUNCH MATRIX that makes packing your kids’ lunches soooo easy.
I want to credit my dear friend Juliette Britton, RD, for this excellent resource. She is a rock star mom with three kids under the age of five, so she knows what it feels like to be busy yet wanting to provide the best nutrition for your family.
Here’s a snap shot of the resource, and you can have it delivered right to your inbox as a PDF!
