Time to Make Veggies Cool (Interview on Radio MD)

I love encouraging kids to eat their fruits and veggies.

So it was an honor to be on Radio MD’s Naturally Savvy show to talk about how we can make veggies cool for kids.

Ahead of my interview on Radio MD, I had sent Lisa Davis (a rock star in the world of wellness) a copy of my new book, Give It a Go, Eat a Rainbow. She was excited to report that her daughter loved reading the interactive book full of rhymes and questions.

We talked about how important it is for kids to be exposed to fruits and veggies, and starting with visual exposure can be a great idea given how beautiful fruits and veggies are.

This video shows a recent visit to a preschool where we did a reading, food tasting, and art activity. One of my favorite ways to expose kids to a colorful array of fruits and veggies is through RAINBOW DAYS. Here is a short video recapping a recent rainbow day:

We noticed that when kids would hear about eating a rainbow, they would ask, “what about skittles and lucky charms”.  YIKES.
