My Dad is a huge fan of V8, as I think he is excited about starting his day with veggies.
I will have to tell him that you can make your own V8 juice.
I guess this recipe is more like a V4 since I’m only putting in 4 ingredients.
But you can get creative and put in as many as you like: Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, whatever you have on hand.
The key to the smooth, rich flavor of V8 juice is steaming the vegetables before blending. I use a rice cooker (with the steaming insert) to do this.
Once the veggies are steamed, place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. You can add a few ice cubes if you like it cold, but I like it warm.
